Sometimes it happens. Like this time in the Montemeló Megane Trophy Race.

The story is something like this: Bas Schothorst (TDS Team) and Albert Costa (Oregon) are fighting for the championship. Costa starts P2 but has a gear box trouble on the grid and stalls the car.
Reaching T1 Wim Beelen (TDS) crashes into other 2 Oregon cars but later in the race, his team-mate and championship contender Schothorst (TDS) got wrecked while leading with 2 to go by "Old Navajo" (Oregon/Torino Team) who was a lap down and cutting the chicane on purpose. One lap earlier he had already attempted to push Schothorst out of the track.

In the 2nd video, the spectators are saying: "Come on, go straight, nobody sees it..." and "... he took revenge!"

As a result, Dutch racing driver Bas Schothorst is considering to sue a fellow driver for an attempted manslaughter. Schothorst was chased and finally t-boned by a teammate of his main rival for the championship he told to newspaper De Telegraaf.

The driver in question, "Navajo" from Oregon Team 3, was immediately suspended for life after the race by Renault Motorsport for all their brand related classes. The organizers are pushing to get this ban adopted by the FIA.

Despite finally winning the 1st race, Schothorst could only be 4th on the 2nd race while Costa won it, so the title was finally won by the Oregon Team driver.

Under very bad weather conditions, Sergio Vallejo faces the last 25 km of the rally of Llanes.

(I appear at 1:53. After seeing this I notice it wasn't the best place! The recorded sound isn't even close to the live sound of this beast)

Surprising found I've made, don't know how. It's auto tune, but for a good reason this time. Relax and enjoy!

My firs idea was to make my milestone blog once I reached the 250 races, but as I reached both milestones at the same time, I thought it was better to mix it all in one blog full of pics and statistics.

These 100 races took me almost a year, since August 20th, but I think I got better myself and my results in the process.

STATISTICS:

Races: 200
Total distance: 29861.377 km (Increased by 18950.025 km)
Podiums: 33 (Increased by 26!!)
Victories: 2 (Increased by 1)
Poles: 5 (Increased by 5!!)
Track records: 2 (Increased by 2)
Team Championships: 7
Shots per race: 2'5 (However, during my first period here I barely uploaded any pic, so this number should be much higher)
DNFs: 18% (Reduced by 4%)

I've had fun with the poles. I remember my first one, not so long ago this season, FIA GT at Road America on rainy conditions that took the best of me. Somehow in the last 2 weeks I made another 4 poles. Still my win/pole ratio is a bit poor.
On the DNFs I managed to make, twice, 29 consecutive completed races, with a total of 1 DNF on 59 races. Unfortunately on the last races I haven't been so good.

Sims usage:
Race07: 51% (down by 9%)
rFactor: 23% (down by 1%)
GTR2: 19% (up by 1%)
netKar Pro: 4% (new)
Game Stock Car: 2.5% (new)
ARCA Sim Racing: 1.5% (new)
rFactor 2: 1% (new)
GT Legends: 0.5% (new)

Racing categories:
Sports Cars: 52.5% (up by 1'5%)
Touring Cars: 31% (down by 8%)
Open Wheel cars: 14% (up by 4%)
Stock Cars: 2.5% (new)

Most used cars:
1st: Audi R8 GT (21 races)
2nd: Volvo C30 (10 races)
3rd: Formula RaceRoom (9 races)

Most raced tracks:
1st: Brno
.....Nurburgring(9 races)
3rd: Istanbul (8 races)

This is most of the stuff... I'm still looking for my first drivers championship. It was close this season, but Alvin was more consistent than me on the last race, but the battle all season long was epic!
I can't finish this without saying I desperately need some rally competition, but the near/medium futures doesn't look bright. WRC3 new stages look good, but I don't have faith on the physics. Hope they prove me wrong.

Nothing more to add. Thanks T&T for this place, my teammates from Phoenix Racing, great place to be ;), Ed for the effort he puts on the IMSS chapter and everybody in this community, really, great racing I've had on all these 200 races, and counting for many more.

Leave you for now with a little teaser for next season and the community most liked picture of mine so far:

Cya on track,
Alberto.

While editing my pics last week, I was let down by a couple of things.
First, rF, Long Beach track, and a poor sprite making the work as the lovely dolphins statue, I had to look for one pic on the net and copy-paste it on my pic.
Then, GTR2 Le Mans track, and a very low poly version of the ferris wheel.
Yes, I know that's only details, irrelevant for the sim itself and they are great to play, but it isn't hard to see they are 5 years old, and details can make a difference.
Luckily we'll have a brand new gen of sims in a few months, so I took the only one I have available so far (rF2 framerate is almost unplayable so far for me!) and decided to prepare myself a bit.
Don't know if pCARS will do it to r2p, some things look very promising (in-game guide about setups) and others not so much (point to point road NFS style races), but I'm not good to judge physics, and this post is just about screenies. Enjoy!

Some of this are unedited, I still have to modify my style a bit, probably over-saturate images that are already saturated it's not the best way to go without burning some eyes ;) But a nice rest, think I'm strong enough to go back to edit rF pics :P

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed 99% of the time I've spent playing the three games, but the end...

I think Hitler is wrong this time. I mean, the end is when Shepard is trying to reach the beam to get to the Citadel and is killed by the reaper.
Unfortunately, Bioware, instead of creating a final video where, depending on your actions on the previous three games, the galactic fleet reacts to it trying to beat the reapers (hard without someone activating the Crucible), instead they put a long dying man dream (I won't look for coherence there because there's no coherence on dreams)
So whatever I did, irrelevant. Importing another character that completed different actions, uninteresting.

There were some plotholes along the games too. In this kind of world, if I really were Shepard, I would have probably been indoctrinated. I left the collectors station to TIM, and I got well with him. I have no idea what the hell happened between the 2nd and 3rd game. He was the only person interested in knowing and understanding the reapers instead of just wiping them out. I shared that interest, but never had a chance.
I understand it's very hard to have all kind of playthroughs on a single game, but some things can be done (In The Witcher 2, chapters 2 and 3 are completely different depending on your choice at the end of chap1)
And needless to say ME2 looks a bit out of place. just like a huge side-quest.

The indoctrination theory seems plausible, but I already paid for a full game.

It was fun while it lasted, but will be hard to trust Bioware-EA again.

I put my G27 to work now, but when I plugged the wheel to my computer, the wheel didn't calibrate, but it was recognized by the PC. Tried rF anyway and pedals, shifter and even wheel buttons work fine, it's just the wheel movement is dead.

After checking Logitech's forum it seems there might be two solutions:
- a new AC cable from the power socket to the power supply or
- opening the wheel and tight a screw.

I'll probably go with the cable first :p, my wheel is out of warranty now (1 year and 3 months) and see if I'm lucky. But I'd like to ask if anyone had this problem before and how he solved it.

In Spain, Santa Claus isn't a tradition (although we celebrate it now too) but we celebrate the Three Kings which bring gifts to children, and it's just tonight. Don't know if I'll have time to send my mail and have a new wheel tomorrow morning next to the Christmas' tree :P And what is worst, tomorrow all stores will be closed, so I'll have to solve this ASAP
