It's been a while since I've blogged, but I've got something I wanted to share with everyone on here.
Next weekend (June 27th-29th) I'll be taking part in the Peru National Tour Solo event, a national championship event that is part of a series of autocross events the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) puts on leading up the the National Championship in the fall.
For those of you who don't know what autocross, is, I'm just going to post a video. It's easier to see than to explain. It's basically a time trial event where you compete for the fastest time through a course made of cones. The courses are usually tight, technical, and all done in 2nd gear. It is very much a skill sport, although you do have to have a good car to place well.

I'm gonna hold a little competition, a hotlap challenge around the Nurburgring Nordschleife. This is for GTR2, the most updated version, 2.03a by Mojo66 (link), and any car is welcome. Just post up here, specifying which car you drove and what layout of the 'Ring you drove (Tourist, VLN, 24h). If you have a car that you used that isn't a well known mod, maybe post where you got it too? I think we can assume everyone here will be honest, there's nothing to win so no reason to cheat :)

OK...here's a continuation from the "Guess the vague car" game (which I think Enis Dauti won, BTW) based on a suggestion from Scott Michaels. The point of this game is to guess the track that the picture was taken at. This game can get VERY hard, trust me...so lets see if Enis knows his tracks like he knows his cars.

Hey all,
Well everyone knows that all the championships are finishing up for Season 6 and champions are being named. I'm in the running to win 3 different championships at the moment. US Spec Rhez, US G3X, and US G2X. And, to be quite frank, I'm really nervous about them all. The G3X is my main concern. The finale is at Spa and I'm stuck driving a BMW Z3M because of the car restrictions for guys in the top 5. Also, I'm leading the championship in a 3 way tie with George Pol and Steve Blankenship. Both better drivers than myself, in my opinion. With the rest of the field surrounding us in Viper Compeition Coupes, I'm worried that the top guys who aren't under the restriction (6th and 7th in points) will come out on top. We'll see how that goes.

OK. This mod has got me BAFFLED. I'm trying to run the NASRL races with the Power and Glory mod, using version 1.1 and I got version 1.102, which is obviously not the same because I got booted as a possible cheat when I tried to race tonight. Can someone PLEASE help me with this insane mod, because I really want to use it.
Also, it messes with the rest of the game and I get mismatched out the wazoo everywhere. For some reason it gives me a final drive option in the garage and all kinds of crazy crap. Explain? Anyone? THANK YOU

OK, I stumbled across this video that I'm sure many of you over in Europe have seen. It's for a Citroën C4 and it made me laugh the first time saw it.
So I watched it again, and it was cute I guess but it was kinda a one time thing. Then I noticed on the side there ws a parody someone made. And it's HISTERICAL. It's of a 2CV and it's perfect.
I was at a Dave'n Buster's over the weekend in Cleveland (for those who don't know what it is, it's a place where you go to eat dinner and they have a huge game room where you buy "credits" to play games on machines) and I stumbled across a game that was set up in a NASCAR model. It was a life-size model of a NASCAR on a hydraulic thing to make it move, with a projector that showed the game on a screen mounted where the hood would have been. I was watching someone drive it, and I noticed the game looked familiar. And then I realized, it was rFactor! They had taken rFactor and converted it to run race after race on Toban, Mills, Orchard Lake Road Course, and others in those rFactor stock cars that come with the game. today's my birthday (actually tomorrow is, i'm posting this a lil' early) and I can finally drive a car for real legally!!! I'm so excited, all this time racing and I'm finally legal to do it for real...not the racing but the driving bits...but anyway, let's hope I dont' crash the first day
