Couldn't wait, so I decided to poke around the San Jose GP circuit this afternoon. Here are some pics:
I'm not going to name names. But at a recent race I participated in, a friend (and teammate) decided to watch one of the "aliens" during practice turn some hotlaps, maybe getting some tips on how to get around the track faster. Well as we watched him, we noticed he was cutting the chicanes with all 4 wheels. Ok so it was just practice. BUT, he even managed to get away with it in Qual.
He qual'ed well and finished well. I went back to the replay and watched him. To my astonishment, we was cutting nearly every lap, same places consistently and no one said a thing. Now 1) he never passed anyone because of it 2) even though he didn't pass, we all know cutting the chicanes will shave off precious time.
So if no one said anything does it mean it's ok? I'm not asking that this guy be labeled a cheater. In the end it's just a game. He's been at this league a while and [... more]
