Wierd Scenes ..... I am signing up for events advertised at a specific time and day, I turn up to race, only to find the time has changed,
First time was a month or so ago, I was sure the race was at 1:00pm, I get on only to find that the race was actually over, the "pm" had become "am"... and I had missed. I was prepared to put it down to me not paying enough attention ..... Until today.
Last night I signed for the GT race at Donington on Friday the 7th of Sept ..... practice @ 3:45pm, race @ 4pm. I am sure of this time because I finish at 3:30pm, and am only 5mins from work... I could make it home just in time.
I rush home and log into R2P to grab the password etc, only to find the race doesn't show up anywhere - results, post race etc, when I do find , it turns out the times have wound back an hour, and it started at 3:00pm.

Had my first race today on the R2P server, and all I can say is a big thankyou to all those involved.
The event was the "Jerry Chen" V8SC fun run, And I had a ball.
After qualifying 9th I was a little unsure about how I would go, but the cleanliness of racing on display was second to none, and I managed to finish 7th.
I have come from a background of cutting my teeth on V8SC 2 (RD2) on the PS2, after racing online there I swore I would never race against the AI again, sadly though, i was without a high speed connection for some 12 months, and missed out on a lot. After discovering GTR2 and GTL I have never looked back. I played against AI for a few weeks, and as of last week , now have a high speed connection back, hence back online, thus far though, on the public servers (biting my tongue!).... Until today, and as I say ....what a pleasure.
