If you haven't tried Dropbox, it allows you to share your files and folders across any computer or smart phone anywhere in the world. I've been using it for a while now and love how I can access any document I want from home without having to remote in. You can setup private or public sharing. The best part is that it's free.
Every person that clicks on the link I provided get's 2GB of free storage plus I get an additional 500MB per person (up to 16GB) that signs up for an account and installs the software.
In case you didn't know or forgot, Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday morning at 2 a.m. So remember to set your clocks back an hour.
I really can't see a reason why I would use Google+. It's just another Facebook. It has a neat feature that lets you organize friends or groups of friends into what they call circles but other than that, it's just Facebook in a more simplified stripped down version.
I have 150 invites if anyone wants one.
Note: I couldn't add the + sign.
On my way home yesterday I had a radiator hose bust and all the anti-freeze sprayed all over my windshield, hood, and pretty much the front half of my car. After letting it cool off, I went out to take a look at how big the hole was. There was a 3 inch long hole on the hose that connects from the engine to the radiator. Not being a mechanic, I don't know which hose that is but I figured I could either call a tow truck today or try to patch it so I could get it to the shop. I opted for option 2 and pulled out the roll of Duck tape and wrapped it. What do you know, it worked and I made it to the shop saving on a towing bill although I started smelling anti-freeze as I parked it at the shop. So now I wait for the call to receive the total cost for the repair.
My wife was at a restaurant last night with her Aunt and in walks Ron White, Robert Duvall, Robert Patrick, and Billy Bob Thornton. Kevin Bacon was supposed to come in later but he wasn't there when my wife left at about 11:30pm. We heard they were in town filming a movie (Jayne Mansfield's Car) but we weren't sure but we are now. She managed to have her picture taken with Robert Patrick as he stepped outside the restaurant. It didn't turn out all that well since the camera flash was turned off but she was still happy to have it.
She came home and talked my ear off about who all she had seen telling me how she got to say hello to Robert Duvall while in the restaurant and that he was very drunk. The restaurant had a sectioned off glassed in area and the actors had bodyguards keeping watch while they were there.
Anyways, I thought I would share since it's not every day that this little down has famous people visiting and filming a movie.
My futile attempts to clean my computer were a complete waste of time. I backed up everything and just did a clean install of Windows 7.
So far, rfactor and VHR installed and working.
Now I get to spend the next few weeks working the kinks out.
So I've been clear of kidney stones for the last 4-5 years until May 10, 2011. It was about 9:15pm when I was qualifying for the CWTS race at Dover when all of a sudden I feel this extreme pain in the right side of my back. Having had kidney stones twice before, I knew what is was and knew I was in for a terrible night. I hung around long enough to make sure the race got going, then I was out.
I rushed into the bathroom and found the last Vicodin I had and took it. The pain got worse, so my wife called a nurse she new and the nurse rushed over two more Vicodin. I only took a total of two Vicodin and at 10:45pm I was on my way to the ER since the pain had gotten unbearable.
When I arrived at the ER, I could barely stand up enough to walk and they took me straight through to a bed. First they gave me half of a real strong pain killer that kind of calmed the pain but it quickly wore off. The nurse gave me the other half and it didn't even come close to relieving the pain. They then wheeled me down the hall to take a cat scan but had to give more pain killers so I could lay still long enough. Sure enough the pain killer worked this time. They gave something different this time and it relaxed me enough where I almost fell asleep while in the cat scan machine.
So sometime after midnight I found out what I already knew, that I had a kidney stone. Also I was very low in potassium so they gave me four potassium pills at once. They then sent me out the door with two Vicodin in case the pain came back.
Later on 2:36am, I pass a kidney stone.
I went to work the next day May 11 and was sick off and on the entire morning and about 11am I passed a second stone. At 12pm I went home for lunch but couldn't eat because I was so nauseous and feeling dizzy so I took a prescription nausea medicine I had and took a nap. I awoke and left to go back to work but made it a short way down the road and got sick (felt like motion sickness) so I turned around and went back home. I let my boss know I wouldn't be back to work and went to bed. I slept from 1pm until 6am the next day, 17hrs of sleep. I woke up refreshed and feeling 100% better.
So, that was my last few days. How was your day?
