For anyone living in eastern PA, northern NJ, etc., a new state of the art indoor karting facility opened in Allentown, PA. (approx 1 hr north of Phila.) Everything appears to be first class and the track is 1/4 mile and appears very challenging. They have lap timing and printouts for each session. Also league races and team enduros once a month. They supply helmets, headsocks (for hygienic purposes) and neck collars.
The karts are relatively quiet, especially from the viewing area and have catalytic converters and with good ventilation, exhaust build up does not seem to be a problem.
I visited the facility last week but didn't try the karts yet.
