I think everyone has the need to, every so often, put themselves out on display and let others around them know just who they're dealing with. I guess it's my turn. This isn't going to be some big Myspace-esque life story, just a rundown of my life as it relates to this hobby and the things that surround it.
I guess my first taste of sim racing was with ICR1. I can definitely remember hour after hour spent in front of a tiny 14" monitor, gamepad in hand, paring time off of a lap around Nazareth by tenths and hundredths. I think a lot of us probably started that way, and they were good times- but it was purely a solo effort, without much in the area of community. That all changed with NR1 and the Hawaii system. I've been out of the racing game for quite a while, focusing on some other things in life. I've just now picked up again, with the WTC series, and remember now why I love this stuff.
Just don't tease me too much for driving an Accord!
