My first blog entry at Race2Play, so why not tell you a bit about my Sim-Racing career.
I've always been a fan of racing simulations, since the early days of Pole Position on the arcades and then Chequered Flag on the ZX Spectrum, circa 1982.
The first realistic sim was probably Geoff Crammonds Revs which I played a fair bit on the Commodore 64, before moving onto the Grand Prix series for the Amiga.
I raced in the Grand Prix Champions League series using Grand Prix 3 and then the Cart Racing League before moving onto the GPTC using Grand Prix 4. All these were offline leagues, you raced offline and submitted your saved game to work out your final position.
Most of my online racing has been with the Papyrus sim Nascar Racing 2003, in the PRS and mostly in the V8 Thunder league. I've raced in around 250 races there and while my results haven't been great I've enjoy [... more]
