Note: Currently broken due to some changes at R2P. The fix didn't look easy, but will continue supporting it when I return to sim-racing. Apologies.

Season 11, Episode 1: (2 ago)
The trio are cursing pointless street signs - eg. 'dear' signs. Jeremy points out that even if you manage to avoid the dear, you end up driving into the sign.
James agrees that the signs are a hazard and suggests the sign should be placed on the dear.
Well I had a mate racing out there today so thought I pop on down and take some pics before it gets demolished. Here's what you'll find at a typical Aussie track meet...
Superceeded by R2P's version. No longer supported
I hate RaceSimCentral!!!!
Why do they have to be the main sim forum? Apart from giving me the "server undergoing maintenance" message more than any other site I regularly visit, the search feature sends me over the edge.
You search for something and there are no matches, fine, so you try a different term and it goes:
"you must wait 180 seconds between searches"
What? server overload? Frightened that somebody might do too many searches or index the site?
Give people 20 searches a day or something, idiots.
So I wait 180 seconds and then after the next search attempt I get told I can't search for a three letter term. Too small. Wait another 180 seconds.
Why?
I'm so sick of stupid people.
I sent them an email once before it pissed me off, asking 'why?' and my account disappeared.
I'd even prefer those ridiculous "enter the letters in the image" verification things [... more]
So far I've seen:
Crash,
Speed,
Bayless,
Sandman,
M'CarFar (out ahead),

Sim-racing I'm talking about.
I've got a lethal car/track combo coming up at 6am after red wine and cheese night. In the past, I've noticed it helps me turn in smoother, brake a bit later, ease back on the power, but Champcars @ Longbeach may be asking a bit much.
Might hop over to Doug Snyder's articles - maybe he covered it.
Here's the Wiki on it:

Thought it might be handy for those with not much time to learn new tracks if I shared my rfactor track maps.
Taken from the actual tracks in rfactor, so what-u-see-is-what-u-get, unlike the loading-screen map, spectator maps and other guides around the net with versions.
I've racked up quite a few in 7 weeks of racing. Can you beat these? Please share yours so I feel better.
Like:
1. DQ'd for taking a disorientating spin on lap 3 of Toban Short and then taking off the wrong direction as I was more familiar with the reverse layout.
2. DQ'd for noticing a red pit light at the last moment and slamming on the brakes, successfully stopping an inch before the line, but then having the guy behind just tap me over it.
3. DQ'd (today, which inspired this blog) for driving out pit lane on red trying to frantically catch the formation lap that I missed the start of.
4. Stalling, then forgetting which key mapped to start/ignition (not sure if that was the solution but putting it neutral didn't start it)
Man, what a learning curve this sim-racing has.
