Allen Cotton of the United Kingdom has won the 2008 Open Wheel World Champion title in the first-ever Championships of Online Racing presented by the National Auto Sport Association and Race2Play!
Cotton placed on the podium in every event, notching one win and an average finishing position of second to hold a four-point lead in championship points over Heinz Petzold of South Africa at the end of the six-round finals.
Two sims and four different car types were used in all. Rounds 1 and 2 featured the Formula BMW cars of RACE'07 at Imola. The Champ Cars of rFactor stormed the streets of Long Beach in Round 3. Cotton picked up his win in the Formula 1 cars of rFactor at Spa Francorchamps in Round 4. Conor McCarrell of the United States has captured the 2008 Sports Car World Champion title in the first-ever Championships of Online Racing presented by the National Auto Sport Association and Race2Play!
Despite missing the first round of the finals, McCarrell claimed the top step of the championship podium with two wins, one pole and an average finishing position of second in the remaining five rounds.
Three different sims and four car types were used in the finals. Round 1 featured the GT cars of GTR2 at Valencia. The NAGT cars of rFactor came out in Rounds 2 and 3, at Mid Ohio and at Long Beach. Rounds 4 and 5 featured the nGT cars of GTR2 at Barcelona and Magny Cours. McCarrell clinched the title over Samuel Krueger of Finland in the final round, racing the GT Pro cars of GTR Evolution at Nordschliefe. Race2Play is pleased to continue our annual special events. These events will mirror the high profile real-world racing events from around the world. From the famous Indianapolis 500 and Daytona 500 to mock endurance races simulating the 12 hours of Sebring and 24 hours of LeMans and Daytona. Even the V8 Supercars Bathurst 1000 race will be run in it's entire length. Run the full distance on your own or search out a fellow sim-racer local to you for real time driver changes in this extreme of all touring car events.
A special event will be scheduled in each calendar month of the year and will vary among all types of motorsports and racing types and may include cars and tracks not normally sanctioned within Race2Play. These same events will repeat the following years.

Pete Bunce of the United Kingdom has been crowned the 2008 Touring Car World Champion in the first-ever Championships of Online Racing presented by the National Auto Sport Association and Race2Play!
Bunce scored one win, one pole and an average finishing position of second en route to the title in the six-round finals, which were contested over four different sims and car types.
Round 1, where Bunce qualified fifth and finished first, and Round 2 featured the WTCC cars of RACE'07 at Macau. Round 3 was run with the BMW M3 of GTR2 at Mid Ohio. Rounds 4 and 5 featured the V8 Supercars of rFactor at their native Bathurst. Round 6, where Bunce clinched the title over Pablo Martinez of Spain, featured the WTC Extreme cars of GTR Evolution at Valencia. Omar Gonzalez of the United States rounded out the top three in championship points.

Season 11 begins the first weekend of January and runs to the end of March. Some series have new addons while other series are from seasons long ago and a resurgent Stock Car schedule for both USA and Euro crowds.
Sponsorship packages are already available for all the series and events so grab them while they are hot.
Once again, hundreds of events already scheduled with many more still to come. Hundreds more fun-run and Independent Chapter races will be added in the coming weeks

Season 10 beginning Oct. 5 lines up the most popular, best-attended series at Race2Play into one race-filled schedule running through December with hundreds of points-paying events spanning dozens of championships.
The points-paying series will be joined by hundreds of "fun run"-style events open to all members for a variety of racing every day of the week. User suggestions are welcome for fun runs, so if you do not see the mod or sim you want to race go ahead and make your suggestion today.

Some said it was a mythical creature ... rarely sighted, never to be caught ... but it is in fact real and after three long years finally will be unveiled Sept. 1 only at Race2Play: the NAGT mod for rFactor!
Developed by The Pits and Racesims Revolution together, the North American GT Championship features eight stunning cars such as would be found on track in a real-world championship like the Speed World Challenge GT series.
