it seems that i am a good writer because that is what i have been told by my peers and teachers. so here it goes. the one thing in my mind reared its ugly head yesterday at about 11:02 PM as the unthinkable happened. I was sitting down to watch baseball tonight to catch up on all of my baseball needs(i was at the cubs game go white sox though)when a breaking news update flashed across my screen and sportscenter began. those words ripped through me like a knife through a premium steak."Brett Favre has been traded to the New York Jets".
as a die hard Green Bay Packers fan growing up in Chicago i had studied this saga such as a biologist studies bacteria reproducing through a microscope. Brett Favre is one of my idols and his accomplishments give me hope where all hope was lost. When this saga began unfolding I thought well the packers are going to ask him to play why wo [... more]
these are just some stats i've compiled from wikepedia
* Favre won the Associated Press's MVP Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award three times, all in consecutive years (1995, 1996, and 1997; the last shared with Barry Sanders).
* In 1999, he was ranked number 82 on The Sporting News' list of the 100 Greatest Football Players.[74] In 2005, TSN published another special feature honoring the 50 Greatest Quarterbacks. With his career statistics considerably augmented, Favre was ranked number 4, behind Johnny Unitas, Joe Montana and John Elway, and just ahead of previous Packer quarterback legend Bart Starr.
* Favre was named the Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year in 2007.[75]
* Favre was selected to play in the Pro Bowl nine times in his career.[76]
* Favre was a seven-time All-Pro selection.
* Favre was named to the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team.

Brett Favre started out as your average Mississippi boy loving football. He played through high school and college and the first time we heard of him was the infamous draft day blunder in 1992.(Brett Fav-ray) His first shining moment came with the packers when he came off the bench and threw a game winning touchdown. He has won three league MVP's (all in three consecutive years.)and a Super Bowl title. yet in my opinion his best moment came in 2003 when he threw for 399 yards against the raiders one day after his fathers sudden death. Brett you are one of my heroes and i will support you in your run with the jets along with being a green bay packers fan. list your best Brett Favre moment here or simply leave a little note. thank you.

theyre all true. if u think theyre not chuck norris will roundhouse your face off. * Chuck Norris once roundhouse kicked someone so hard that his foot broke the speed of light, went back in time, and killed Amelia Earhart while she was flying over the Pacific Ocean.
* Crop circles are Chuck Norris' way of telling the world that sometimes corn needs to lie down.
* Chuck Norris is ten feet tall, weighs two-tons, breathes fire, and could eat a hammer and take a shotgun blast standing.
* The Great Wall of China was originally created to keep Chuck Norris out. It failed miserably.
* Contrary to popular belief, Chuck Norris, not the box jellyfish of northern Australia, is the most venomous creature on earth. Within 3 minutes of being bitten, a human being experiences the following symptoms: fever, blurred vision, beard rash, tightness of the jeans, and the [... more]
school field trip to washington d.c was amazing enough to put on my blog. we flew in and immediatly went to see the mall. we ate at a fake as hell chicago style pizzeria and then saw the washington monument, fdr memoral, and jefferson memorial. at the hotel it was party time with eeryone until about three a.m ( i wont go into detail but it was hot n crazy.) day 2 began with a continental breakfest followed by a trip to capitol hill and the white house. a visit to mount vernon in the afternoon and then dinner and the lincoln, ww2, vietnam, and koren war memorials. ince again there was a hotel party and once again security got pissed at us for messin aroung with the flashes on our phones. day three was sad because we went to arlington and saw every important tomb and more and then the air and space meuseam. then the holocaust meuseam which was supposed to be tear-jerking [... more]
