Not much to say about Bristol, it had its ups and downs. The 700 laps I put down in practice paid off with a win.
However, driving in too deep and spinning your friend who is leading isn't fun...so I won't elaborate on much.
Maybe it will be better at the Lady In Black.
Oh, I almost forgot to put my stuff in on Nevada. Was a pretty good race, I was mired back in traffic for the first 1/3 of the race and took a gamble on no tires during a caution. Most of the day, I was in the 7-10th place range...not bad for a newbie.
I had worked my way up to 4th and was following Tom around a little close when he drove a bit lighter into the corner than I expected. I dove underneath him and lost it, causing Tim to hit me head on.
I was damaged pretty bad, but was able to pit and get back out without losing a lap. Then I was riding about a half a lap down as I had left the pits on the green flag, praying for another caution. Luck paid off for me.
I was able to get back into the top 10 and finish 6th in the race (8th officially) thanks to rFactor's scoring.
Good day, I survived. Hopefully I will be a bit better at Atlanta...I mean Georgia.
Thanks to Tom, I have just joined the TPSCC Busch series here on R2P.
My first day was spent turning endless laps in hopes to be ready for the first race tomorrow. Seemed to be a success, turning 28 laps with tires to spare at speeds in the 33.900 range at Nevada. Can't wait until tomorrow, now.
Also hoping to bring my buddies at WJRL here as well, I think this would be a good ground to start our series from here.
