Ah,i think i have to miss a few races before my road rage becomes permanent.I know incidents happen,but lately there is just too much carnage on lap1 and might i add during the rest of the race too.I am getting a bit tired of being the pinball and to be honest,if you want to be in front of me after t1 or by the end of the lap,qualify in front of me,plenty of time and i'm slow.At one time i would do anything to avoid a DNF,but lately it's just ahh stuff it.The thing that gripes me is when someone goes off and knowing they are faster,just appears as if it "get out of my way".Maybe when the new puter arrives,i will get some interest back.
I guess i'm somewhat bored.Bored enough to try 2 public server races at Monza.1st,i started 20th in a Lambo out of 24,22 of which were 550s.Finished 2nd.Joined the 2nd and guess who else was there?Ari,bored too?Started 9th here and finished 3rd,just have to stay on track for a podium.
After a successful reformatt with GTR2 installed,i found i had lost my online serial number.However,i just found the dvd that i had backed up the full game on.I could just extract that but i have some mods in it and i really need to have a fresh install.I tried just extracting the user data into the game,but still no multi,does anyone have any idea where the file would be that i need to extract.
Thank god for global warming.It appears most parts of Australia,including my area,have had the coldest winter ever.Imagine what it would have been like without THE--global warming.Some parts have even had their first ever snowfalls.Maybe it's the start of a new ice age.
Well,i've finally become a standard member.I can't remember how i found my way here,but i'm damn glad i did.I became a basic member in January and have had an absolute blast.What would i be doing sim racing wise if i had not found this place,probably pounding my wheel in frustration in public servers.Just like to thank Tim,Todd,event stewards and all members for making this a great place to race.Eventually i wouldn't mind trying out as an event steward if my busy race shedule ever allows me.Thank you all.
Some mention has been made on RSC about the benefits of using vsynch in games.I don't use vsynch and have a little trouble understanding exactly what they are talking about.For example,running the monitor at say 100hz,you will get 50 fps?Ok,i run my monitor at 85hz,so i checked vsynch in config for GTR2 and rfactor and using ati tray tools for fps i started the game.In both games,fps in both were showing approx the same as with vsynch unchecked.Is this just an error with ati tray tools.I also ran the f3 events today with vsynch on and it reported quite good fps with no stuttering,bog down etc.By the way,i have never noticed any tearing in any games with it off using this crt monitor.Any enlightenment would be helpful.
