Hi guys, I have a new vid for u. Its about the accidents on track and is there anything to be done to avoid them when possible. This is a good example :) This was taken from the first lap of the last weeks v8 race at pukekohe. This track has a long straight in mid-last section then a strong brake zone. In first lap in this section, i completely missed the braking point and when i started to brake it was too late; i was getting closer too much to guys in front of me. Then what happened? Surely i was a bit lucky to find a gap there to run but i wonder how many of us would do something like that if they had missed their braking point. Anyways thanks for watching... ...and dont forget to use your brakes in time lol :)

Very close!! Excellent avoidance.
Looks like you had a case of Tristans old Avatar.. hehe
Are we patting ourselves on the back? I hope so, you should!! I certainly wish more folks would put the other drivers well-being ahead of their own as you did in this race. Very nice job. I look forward to racing with you.

Just admit you tried to hit most of them, yet u missed somehow :P
Lol Janko :P Actually this is one thing I tend to when I make a mistake, just gut reaction more than anything. One good example was me vs Janko in GT-I at Hockenheim last season, he was ahead but warped badly going into the braking point for the hairpin, I hit his warped car which caused me to miss my braking point (because I was in mid air!!!), so instead of hitting him as he apexed I had to hit the throttle and shoot passed him and about 100m into the runoff area! It was one of my many many many instances of bad luck (while Janko got some good luck) in GT-I last season :P
Janko, Tolga did wanna take all of you out, but he soon realized I was infront, and he did what he had to do... I'm proud of you mate :)) |
