There is a tool called "Track Drawer" which draws track maps from the .aiw files. Check here. It doesn't mark turns, though :) There is also a big collection of track maps on the BAPOM The Racing Circuits is a great resource too.
Wow, great resources - thanks. I just had a look at the Track Drawer you mentioned - it's cool. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it just draws the center line of the track, no track width. But it's definitely quick and easy.
Hey Jonty, I just found a cool resource the other day at www.trackpedia.com. I don't know how well all the tracks are documented, but using Mid-Ohio as an example, there is a turn-by-turn analysis of the track which has a couple of real in-car videos posted of laps at the circuit. The analysis is a review of the footage with suggestions on how to optimize each corner. It includes maps and telemetry data as well as real-life lap times benchmarks for some types of cars. Some tracks will probably be less or more well documented.
Another great find - big! They've got local tracks there I've never even heard of.
this thread is awesome guys-- thank you! All these links are excellent for trackaholics like myself! I just checked Lime Rock at trackapedia and it has even all the events neatly listed and is full of great, great stuff.
Autobahn North added and turned into pdf's. |
