Sold my beer brewing equipment and bought...

We'll, I sold my beer brewing equipment. I found out I have Celiac disease(I'm not supposed to eat/drink anything with wheat) a few years ago. I used to brew 5 gallons of beer about once a month and have a rip roaring good time with my buddies at football games or out at the fire pit behind the house drinking the brew I made. I would brew the beer, keg it and serve it out of a freezer I converted into a kegerator with a brass 4 tap tower. Beer was always on tap. Now I "try" and stick to wine/cider. Wheat free beers are horrible.
After a few years of the equipment sitting around collecting dust, I said the hell with it and put an ad on craigslist. Everything sold. Wooohooo.
I went out with the cashola and bought myself an LG 24 inch monitor. 10000:1 contrast ratio, 5ms, 1920x1200 res. She is a beauty!!!! You just don't realize how much a small monitor cuts down your field of view till you go larger.
I'm still waiting on the Black sst lighting shifter I bought from a kid 12 days ago to come in. I think I might of been scammed.

Bryce - congrats on the sale / purchase. I couldn't keep up before and now you go and make yourself that much faster. Build that Headtracker gizmo and you will be untouchable....

Hey, Bryce -- Anheuser-Busch makes a sorghum-based beer called "Redbridge" that's actually pretty good. Give it a try if you can find it locally!

Congrats on the monitor, BTW!

:-)

John, I've tried them all!!!! They say they are a beer....After you've made your own beer and try drinking the wheat free swill. ARRRGGGHHHHH Have any of you guys ever tried Mead(fermented honey)??? Sit down one night, no driving!!!! and try a few red wine glasses full it. Life will be good till the hangover hits. LOL

Sorry the sorghum-based beers aren't your, er, cup of tea, Bryce -- I kinda like "Redbridge," and I have done some beer brewing myself in the past.

My favorite KIND of beer in general is wheat beer, so I REALLY sympathize with you!

Ever tried Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout? I'm not sure if it's wheat-free, but that's one of my personal favorites -- HEAVY beer, though, so after one I'm too full for more!

One of my fav beers was a stout aged in a just emptied burbon barrel(4 pack is $12) Jefferson Stout reserve I think the name is. 2 of those to start and then move on to a nice nut brown...ah the sweet memories...

Oh man, Bryce, I think I know the kid you bought the SST shifter from. Courtenay/Richard Smith by any chance? If so you weren't scammed...
