Land of the free, eh? | ||
Dunkin Donuts is free to pull an ad that it does not like. Rachel Ray was free to wear the scarf and was paid to do the commercial. Freedom is not the issue here. I agree its a stupid issue.
Gotta love America ;) | ||
Freedom fries, anyone?
LoL Finn. | ||
Yes, quite free. And enjoyin' it. The commentator does have the freedom to express that opinion. The public, and Dunkin Donuts, is free to like that opinion or ash can it. DD is payin' the bills, and can freely decide to pull the ad or pay to run it 24/7. And you're free to buy an airline ticket in or out...
Just another small example as to why the phrase "stupid americans" is so popular all around the world.
We try to keep up that illusion to discourage all these folks from flocking in, but for some reason, it doesn't seem to be working...
No other countries see any immigration, right?
Nowhere in that article was said that DD pulled the ad because they did not like it but because "a conservative commentator wrote that the scarf Ray wore in the ad looked like a keffiyeh, a traditional headdress worn by Arab men." Watch out for conservative commentators. LOL Hell, looking at the enlarged picture I noticed I have one almost like it just green and black to go with my ghillie suit. :) |
