Network card bad?
03:07 PM on Jun 18, 2008

I am having a wierd issue with my internet connection and I was wondering if anyone else has seen this. I cannot connect to the internet after about 30 minutes or so. Then I can restart the computer and my connection is ok for another 30 minutes or so. The router and modem seem fine, I use Time Warner Cable. My upstairs computer is hooked up wireless to the same router, and it never looses connection. So I am thinking my NIC card is going bad? But I am not sure. I tried reinstalling drivers, to no avail.

I've had a very similar issue for months, finally got a new ISP and it STILL happened! I have spent ages phoning the support lines and the only thing they think it can be is the network card/ ethernet adapter. So I would say you are probably right.
I've had to send my PC back under warranty (again) since my ethernet adapter is onboard.
Good luck with it, I know how frustrating it is!
