Well, this turned out to be a not so great weekend. I went out into my first practice. and noticed the car wouldnt stay in second gear in this one turn. so i was kind of puzzled but not to suprised cause my tranny is on its last legs. So i went out in another session and heard a loud BANG! under the car under heavy threshhold brakeing. i kneww what that was , *Broken motor mount* and the motor rocking forward causing the exhaust to bang the floorboard. So my good times started to end, because i knew the car was damaged, I went out 1 last time, on my way back in from that session, i went to shift into 1st and i was locked out, soo my snycro`s in 1st gear was shot, cause that has happend to me before, but ehh its gone for good now. So the weekend was pretty much a waist . and so i left early because i didnt want more to mess up I did manage some Nice battles with a TTA Vette*2classes faster than me* He couldnt take me in the turns for nothing, but of course on the straits he could take, but thats the easy way! haha all in all, I took first place in my class TTC and 3rd overall the 2 vettes would gain about a second on me, on the straits. So the car is down untill i save money to rebuild the tranny, which isnt such a bad thing, i have noticed at my last 2 events the car feels like it limits me within the first 2 sessions. due to open Diff ect ect. well here are some pics, i took alot of American Iron picks just for you guys haha Enjoy

Sorry to hear you had car troubles Shane. Unfortunately, it's part of the game. I just hope when mine come they aren't so big and my wife doesn't crucify me. A transmission, motor mount and exhaust parts don't sound easy on the wallet. Good luck getting it repaired. Get out on track at least 1 more time this year. | ||
Andrew, a set of tires, Bfgoodrich r1`s have lasted me 3 events so far. and i have 1 more set ready to go I called BFgoodrich one day, and got ahold of there sponsorship department, and filled out there Sponsor APP. they accpeted me. so i havent payed a dime for these 2 sets.. =) Mike, Yea the tranny is going to be expensive, especially since im re building it with all good race parts. as for tracking this year, i have considered it, cause im just locked out of first, 2nd-6th is fine.. and i dont need 1st to run the car... but ehh i really dont wana spend money on an event to take a broken car. My goal is to have it ready by october for GTLIVE at VIR but its a Time Attack, and since im not wanting to go into time attack.. i may just do a texas event and start doing the Race craft school |
