As many of you folks know, I've been suffering a frozen shoulder for the past 3 months or so. By trying to take the strain off that I then found myself with tennis elbow. Now, tring to protect them both, I have a very painful wrist & hand. Having just finished the GT-O race, my left arm is just about seized solid. Bugger, what next!

Luckily there are some shorter races as well, like Viper vs Vette and Elise.
Do what you have to in order to get better, Pete! At least you're not having to give up entirely... :) Tommy
Sad to hear about your troubles Pete. Just make sure you don't over do it so you can heal up real quick. I've got issues with my feet going numb, dang, just when I figured out what was causing me to get really down with terrible fatigue, making long races impossible for me. Guess It's just part of getting old. Don't worry, after I retire (hopefully in 6 more months), I'm going to try and start an indy chapter for 50 and over old goats. I think there are enough of us to make for a cool little bunch of geezer racers (might make an exception or 2 for Sir Finn and ?) Get well pal, Dan
Be sure to stretch and keep a full Range Of Movement in your joints! Goodluck!
Damn Pete, I havent seen ya in a while, and I thought the LMP series we'd be getting together again, but I guess not. Take care and hope to see you soon.
I will miss having you on track Pete!

That sucks Pete, get well soon. Your a great driver and I always enjoyed seeing you log onto the servers.
Sorry to hear about your problems and hope you recover soon. You know, I drive most oval races using only the right hand with my left hand just there for 'balance'.. dunno how to explain it but it just feels easier.
Hope you get it sorted mate, get it well rested n ready for the world championshis.
I hope the slimmer race calender allows the shoulder to heal. |
