What corned did you work this weekend Pete? Do you work the whole race in one spot, or do you get a shift for part of the race, or what?

I was at Station 16, which is just past the turn-in on the outside of Turn 10 (left hander, second to last corner before SF straight... Link). We're usually stationed in one place for the whole day, unless there's some shuffling needed for replacements. I haven't been moved around in a single day yet. This weekend was actually the first time I worked the same station 2 days in a row. And I must say, this one quickly became my favorite. I was uber glad to be in such an incredibly fast corner. Had a little action, but it was topped off by a very late incident when Scott Dixon spun (under full yellow while warming rear tires) right in front of me and was collected by Ryan Briscoe. Looked really serious, not so much for the collision, but the 75% track blockage in a full pack of cars. Talk about waving flags frantically. ;)

Would be cool if this race ever gets rebroadcast. We were 20 feet along the rail before the camera stand feeding ABC.
