Yes, Lewis Hamilton master class. If ever there was a sign that he has that special talent, this race was it. Comparisons to Senna have been made, and it's no coincidence he has that yellow helmet! But three wins so far in 2008, two in the wet. Can the McLaren's fight with the Ferrari's on a dry track? Hockenheim this weekend should tell us more - of course if it rains there too, then I would bet a certain Mr Hamilton will again be dominant in those conditions. Watching the race on TV, I felt homesick. I miss going to Silverstone every year for the GP / test sessions, other meets. We get the ITV coverage here in Australia, so it's almost home from home. By the way, James Allen needs to do his homework. There's more than 6 million viewers watching your coverage mate, as it's not just in the UK that you're seen - lol! |
Yes, as Conor mentioned in another thread, they like Lewis just a bit too much. I quite like him and don't really understand why many don't, but a bit of impartiality wouldn't hurt. Well maybe the change to Donnington will ease your home-sickness.
Seems FIA are unable to fix the weather as well then :-] Latest report I have seen says Lewis was fastest again in practice so far at Hockenheim, but I guess that does not really count either as it was in the wet so it was not fair for anyone else on track. Yes he screwed up at recently, the trouble is these days everything is (no pun intended) black and white. Mistake one week you are out of the champ noob who does not know which way to point the wheel, win the next and you are in a three way tie and gunning for the title and better than the best thing since sliced bread. If everyone stepped down their views about 50% then you could have sane discussions. I am not just talking about F1 here though, seems to be everything nowadays. We (England) have had our first singles champion for 300 years at Wimbledon in the girls singles, and suddenly she will be back next year to wipe the screaming Williams sisters off the court. YYYEEEHHAAA right. Give her time you never know, pressure here and she will be finished by 18. Oh and it is this season or never for Lewis by the way, he is getting on a bit now and liable to senior moments.
Unfortunately for these guys, England (like Australia) love to chop down their heroes too. One mistake will undo years of domination.
im sure he had a chuckle when alonso defended him :-)apart from that i bet he could'nt give a feck. i was working at the last donnington f1 ,its a great bike circuit, but f1 no thanks, unless you like procession's.
