Day of days: I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!!! YEEHAA!! |
Fantastic!

LOL, the fist attempt I failed miserably. That was September of last year... Around the same time I started to get into sim racing. I'm so chuffed! | ||
How exactly are the tests run over there?

Grats Jon. Here in the states, they give a license to anyone that applies, even if you're not from this country. Sad really, considering all the clueless wonders out on the road today. My oldest brother was stationed in Germany in the early 70's (Army) outside of Frankfurt, and talked about how difficult the test was to pass. Something like 300+ questions. Insane.

Congrats jon. :) | ||
Tests in UK are in two parts: Theory and Practical. Theory consists of answering multiple choice questions on the usual things: signs, speed limits, stopping distances etc. This is then followed by a mouse clicking game called "hazard perception". Aka: the reaction test. Practical exam is a 40 minute living knightmare. Involving mostly driving around over-crowded city streets before disappearing into the surrounding villages to do your manouvres etc. I managed to get through with only 5 minor errors, all of which involved approaching junctions/roundabouts a tad too quick. Otherwise I was inch perfect. Went out for my first drive on my own this evening... loved it!
