Full solar eclipse
09:21 AM on Aug 03, 2008

Hi guys!

I just returned from the country house, which is based in Novosibirsk region. 1.08.08, I saw a full solar eclipse. This show is difficult to describe, but I will try.

Lighting on the street started to change when the moon has closed half of the sun. When the moon closed the sun by 80%, we took to the streets and went ashore Ob River. Coverage from the sun very quickly changed. Before the closure of most, the street was very dark, this does not seem to sunset. At the moment of complete overlap was beautiful, seemed other planets. This was great! I learned the power of space) lol

The next total eclipse in Russia can be seen only after 50 years

Several photos and video (not me):

They are pretty awe inspiring aren't they? Especially when you hear the birds starting to go bezerk etc.

One of my first memories was the total solar eclipse in Baja in '91. Definitely something to experience, especially since they are very rare.

That perspective from space is very cool!
