Time for a rest
12:38 PM on Aug 14, 2008

Ah,i think i have to miss a few races before my road rage becomes permanent.I know incidents happen, but lately there is just too much carnage on lap1 and might i add during the rest of the race too.I am getting a bit tired of being the pinball and to be honest,if you want to be in front of me after t1 or by the end of the lap, qualify in front of me,plenty of time and i'm slow.At one time i would do anything to avoid a DNF,but lately it's just ahh stuff it.The thing that gripes me is when someone goes off and knowing they are faster, just appears as if it "get out of my way".Maybe when the new puter arrives,i will get some interest back.

I know the feeling and can therefore relate with your situation. Enjoy your rest and get back in the grid when you feel like it.

Ditto Finn's remarks.

You'll be missed, so don't stay away too long! : )

You and I often qualify and run close to the same pace, but your consistency and ability to stay out of trouble always amazes me. Don't stay away to long as your the type of driver we need here.

Well,I've noticed i am at the pointy end of the standings in the USA VvV and GTopen and knowing how those guys signed up behave,i just can't pass up these two races, not that i will remain in contention long, but really need to give it a shot.

What we need is an old timers event. I can see it now - pit stop for "pee pee" break! haha

I've just been too tired to drive so hard only to go so slow.
Not enough reward for the hard effort I have to put into it.

I concur with Ralph, I also have had some fun laps with Barry and Ralph! : )

Gee, that's 190 years old between the 3 of us!!!

Feeling my age,

Dan

Don't do it Barry - race on. I'm pretty new to R2P, am old too (!!), but remember our Sepang Open battle (I was the guy in the F360 trying to get by for half a race!!). It's good knowing you can have a respectful battle with guys like you. Hope to see you on track sooner rather than later.

I didn't realize the pre-race practice was so short.
