Following a horror smash at the Portland Grand Prix on Saturday Quickmusik.com and Rock n' Roll racing driver Jon Weal will miss all of his previously scheduled events until September. In a statement, his manager Ole Megroin stated that "Mr Weal will be recuperating in a private French Clinic following the strong concussion he received in the accident during the Vanport GP." It is likely that Weal will be spending large periods of time in the local area working on his recovery. Rumours that Weal would in fact be spending large amounts of time sampling the local wines and lounging in the pool were quickly denied. |
I was cruising AutoSimSport and found a little article about random drug testing at the recent Vanport event. This really smells more like a 30 day trip to a drug rehab to me. Regardless Jon, I hope you enjoy your time away. :) That crash looks just like the GP2 crash at Magny last year. I will see if I can find a video of that one.

Scary shit!!! ... Jon Weal's management refutes the claim that he has ever taken performance enhancing drugs... Although they do not deny that Weal may be partial to the odd performance debilitating drug. | ||
