Bought a wheel
08:24 AM on Sep 06, 2008

Well, I finally decided to take the plunge and buy a wheel. A MOMO racing FF one to be exact but as my luck would have it, it is defetive. Like in this vid(+ no FF in games):

I had planned to buy the G25 but the store has been out of stock for about a month and I really wanted to get a wheel to try it out today in one of the races but this problem had me unregister from the race because I couldn't set it up in time(it still doesn't work anyways).
So tomorow(or next week) I'll go back to the store to have it exchanged and if they have the G25 by then I'll just take it instead.

In other news, I'm still finishing races last but I think I'm improving. I still need to figure out how to set up the car(especially the camber setting but I'm sure it'll come to me eventually), I got my hand on 2 setup guides that I'm using to try to make better settings but somehow some of it's tips confuse me and well...
we'll see.

Too bad about the flaky Momo wheel. Hope you get it replaced soon(G25 preferred).
I've gotten many years of good service from my Momo (black) wheel. I'll get a G25 whenever it poops out on me(not anytime soon i guess as it's been working too well! lol)
I'm still amazed you are able to even drive in simulator mode with a gaming controller!!!

I got a MoMo and the wierdest thing is I have FF on GTR2 but I can't get it to work on rFactor.

I suppose my 10 year experience using the dual shock helps too though, since I've been using it with Gran Turismo 1, 2, 3, & 4.
Thanks for the link Tim. I had seen it before but forgot about it.

rFactor supports FF, right?(sorry if the question is dumb but I've only used rF once and didn't play with it's settings too much)

Yes, FF supported in rFactor. You may have to set it up in the controller section.

May I suggest you download the LeoFFB plugin, works great right out of the box.

there are a few sections in the games tech and tips section, with set ups for momo,i havent access to my main com,but there are some set ups i posted that maybe of use,the gtr2 seems to work straight away but its a little too vague, the rf initial set up needs work, so the set up is a good starting point,i would suggest you get the feel correct first with out adding leo or real first, because they rely on you having ff set up to a point that your comfortable with and once you have the feel rf central has a wide range of set ups for the different mods.
