Thanks a ton for getting rid of that 7 day delay for signups, it will help me focus on individual series' immensely. Much better than trying to use outlook reminders or some other stupidity. Before you call me out on being a cheap skate, note that I will still be signing up to run other series requiring membership. This is how it should be when you're dealing with seasons and I think it may be smart to add the "membership required" feature to more select series. I think this will promote guests becoming more of regulars instead of just looking at "what pickup races can I get in on at R2P". |
I don't think the "membership required" would atract many new ppl. I understand making it with some well attended series, but with many races that are barely empty...
Paul, I hate to burst the bubble, but the 7-day window was opened up to allow guests to sign up for the Bathurst 1000 event on Oct 12th. It will be re-established in early October. You bring up some very valid points though, something worth thinking about.
Ok, I got a bit excited, it is a good idea though, given this scenario; -newcomer shows up

As a follow up to this - some sort of email campaigns, targeting or summarizing upcoming events could help boost involvement and return visits would be good. If nothing else email notification / reminder of upcoming events would be nice too. |
