How I Re-installed rFactor with No Activation
12:28 PM on Oct 24, 2008

I had a problem starting with my rFactor and I do blame it on trying to do what ever to delete the JNS files from my list.

Anyways what I did was first was save a copy of my rFactor folder in my Documents and saved the Registry rFactor folder in Windows. Then I Installed a new rFactor on my Drive 'D'.

I was interest to see that the second rFactor I installed is using the same Document and REG files. Cool! I did not allow it to launch or put a new Icon, I did it manually so it would conflict with the 'C' Drive rFactor.

I was expecting to re-activate the second rFactor but no it works fine. YES. \

All I need to now is re-install tracks and cars to the 'D" rFactor.

Doug, where is the Registry rFactor folder located, can't find anything like that in the Windows folder.

This is the one I mean.

WARNING TO ANYONE USING REGEDIT, IF YOU CHANGE ANYTHING IN THE REGISTRY YOU MIGHT SCREW UP YOUR PROGRAMS OR WORSE WINDOWS

Added note. I never deleted or uninstalled the old files of rFactor.
