Well I did say I was going to get NFS Undercover for my PS3 and in the last minute I got the PC Version. I really didn't play it very long. ****FAILURE**** Why doesn't EA just quit making NFS Games. What a fk'n joke. What the hell did I buy? A movie or a game? I waited almost 15 minute to even see the game play. 10 minutes of looking at the ocean From a chopper. Names of what I think are AI drivers flashing on the screen, but it was movie characters. Finally I see a bridge, oh look a police chase, that I was suppose to be in control of. BUT EA seems to forgot I have a gas peddle. My Momo steering works but no peddle functions. DUH~! Quickly figuring out I had to use the keyboard to gas the car and steer with my Momo. How fk'n dumb is this. Anyways I got busted..Like if I wasn't, with that setup.. So after hitting every key on the keyboard to get to option I couldn't. The choice I had was to continue or replay. So I hit replay.. Guess what.. Yes... The Ocean again.. For fk sakes. And you have to watch the whole fk'n move AGAIN! So this time I was able to outrun the cops and finally got to wtf ANOTHER MOVIE. And still am unable to config my Momo. 45 minutes late I was able to get into options. There was still a problem setting up my wheel. No Cursor for the mouse. Finally got my wheel configured 20 minutes later. AND THE GRAPHICS SUCK!.. This is 2008 EA! NOT 1997. Damn.. Police cars look like TOASTER OVENS with wheels and POLICE painted on it. All the Graphic simply SUCK. The car physics SUCK! SIMS? Hell No fk'n way is this SIMS. EA do us a favor and stop making any more NFS Series. You are, if not have destroyed a good classic game from the past. |
Hehe nice one. In the pub at lunchtime and an advert came on for this, I said "What a load of crap that is". My colleagues said but you race that yourself, how little they know LOL Not even close to what we do here, yet that the perception the uninitiated have.
IMHO the only 2 NFS products that were worth a damn was the classic High Stakes Online which was the first lobby based multiplayer online experience I ever had and raced it for years. We as a community even managed to force EA to keep the server running for a couple years after they released Porsche Unleashed. The other was Motor City Online which was a masterpiece of software for the car/arcade/simulation enthusiast. While it really was not a sim per sey it did allow car setup changes, but more importantly it was like 30 different games in one, too difficult to discribe. The last one I purchased (I think) was Hot Pursuit and the only thing I did with it was race with old HS buddies for a couple weeks before I was bored with it and discovered GTR.
Never really been into the NFS games so I can't argue about it but if I read your text it just is absolute crazy when it doesn't even see you have a wheel AND pedals plugged in.
Well that isn't that surprising really since most of the games are now written for consol games and are tweaked to thier minimum to work on a computer. Most consol gamers don't have a wheel let alone pedals. They typically race with a game pad. |
