well its sad to say that captain america has been killed off for now. the person who was hurt the most was my eight year old son who just got into comics, my other passion i resurrected after the CIVIL WAR series in the Marvel Universe. He didn't like spiderman or many of the other heroes you think an 8 year old would like. He liked one of the originals, the Cap. It was fun kinda trying to explain how old Steve Rogers was and how he was continued into the current time line. He has been distraught since issue #25 when Cap was killed. Its kinda interesting that CNN had an article on this. Captain America was an icon for this country its sad to see him go. |

Just get him interested in the Justice League and he will come around to some of the other super heros as well. But, as with most things we all really consider our first exposure to something awesomely new to be our "favorites" simply because that's when we first gain a sense of that emotional projection which we identify with. From all the super heros I think Cap is pure American spirit...I think you may have an activist or politician growing up there. :) My favorite is Ghost Rider...always has been...I haven't seen the movie, but I'm sure it doesn't do it justice especially with a person who comes across as having a lot of hangups like Nicholas Cage as Johnny Blaze. Well...hopefully in the near future someone will do a remake...it has awesome possibilities. Perhaps when there's an extreme gas shortage for decades and when motorcycles and the like are much more popular. | ||
to add insult to injury, my favorite chracter the punisher is slated to be the next "possible" capt america?? As for the justice league, i am a marvel fan through and through. kind of likea ford/chevy thing. I only collected marvel stuff. Ghost rider is one of my old favs..nwoi have 2 #1's of ghost rider, the 90's version and the current. I think the cpa will be back, he was killed off early due to lack of sales also..sound familiar???? no-one truly dies in the marvel universe anyways. |
