Dunno, maybe the license file went walkabout? When I installed rF on my new game machine I sent an email to Trymedia and got a fast response with a new activation code. Try that maybe?

I back up files to a usb drive every once in a while; the license file under Documents and Settings/Trymedia, my plr, custom controller configs, sometimes the whole rF or GTR2 tree, just in case. Saves the hassle after a reinstall, hit the ground running.

Well I reinstalled Rfactor and now I have a new issue. I go to load any track on any server and it loads all the way and crashes to desktop after a sec of seeing the track. Really frustrated, missing alot of racing.

Been there, done that!!! : (

The last time I had those kind of issues, the only cure was to reinstall XP!

Then reinstalling my games and everything working OK now.

I lost no files after reinstall, just have to reload your apps and such. Not much fun but sometimes things get so messed up, it's the only option.

Any other apps not working, or just fF?

Problem solved.

I went to "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Trymedia". Deleted the Trymedia folder. Removed rFactor. Then I requested my CD key from Trymedia, which I recieved within 2 min. Dowloaded rFactor and patches, put in key and it worked like a charm again.

Now, don't you wish they would send us a CD instead. I mean, we paid. Right? LOL.
