Well after completing a 1000 laps here at R2P I thought I should mark the occasion with a personal blog entry.

First of all I can't believe it's been a 1000 already! They have just flown by, which is pretty amazing considering how slowly I potter round most of the time.

I have learned quite a bit the past couple of months and, more importantly, had a lot of fun. I don't think my speed has gone up much, if at all, but I think my overall driving and situation awareness has improved quite a bit.

Racing here has also opened my eyes to other events and sims. To begin with I was a GTR2 racer but now I compete in GTL and rFactors open wheel stuff. The latter of which I really suck at but enjoy no end. The OW events were something I wouldn't have even bothered trying if it wasn't for R2P.

I'm a tiny bit behind on my personal goals at this stage but I hope to put that right before the end of the S4...

Unlike this season, which I've been using to learn tracks, sims, and cars, next season will see me becoming a little more choosey about the series I drive in.

So in short, stroll on the next 1000 and a big thank you to R2P and its members who make this such a great place to race. :)
