Season 5

Glad to see so many people upbeat about the S5 announcements. Over at OTHR, however, things are looking rather more glum. German team boss, Herr Geddem Orf, is far from happy, faced as he is with a garage full of useless machinery. A pair of '79 Renaults, V8SC Fords, Seats and a whole host of historic vehicles are unlikely to see action again! So, not wishing to rain on everyone elses parade, what are we unhappy about?
GT-O Enduro G2/G3 meeting - scrapped. That was the better one!
V8Supercars - scrapped
GP-79 Euro - scrapped. This and the above item are the only 2 RF mods this team actually enjoyed driving!
GT-H - moved to late slot. Words can't express how frustrated we are about that one. Actually they can, but none of them have more than four letters!
RF Panoz Enduro to take early Saturday spot. See above comment, then double it. Christ, I've got a wheelbarrow that handles better than those things.
WTCC moves to Thursday nights - One half of OTHR will be pretty much ruled out of that one due to health/work commitments.
GT-I - no changes there, though we might have wished for a few. We had really hoped for a 3-class series to add a little extra spice. And the track selection...Monza, Magny, Brno, Barcelona...WE HATE THOSE TRACKS!!! Even Enna is looking attractive just for a change of scenery.
We are seriously BOVVERED!!!

Herr Orf summed the situation pretty much spot on. On top of above mentioned restrictions I also have Army-stuff for select summer weekends. Finnish summer is short so I better enjoy it while it lasts.

Welcome to my world for S4 Pete. :P You have no idea how bad I wanted to do the rF3 and 79s for S4. Sometimes life hands you a fist full of lemons.

You have to realize Tim no longer can custom tailor the schedule for us anymore. The schedule might not fit well for some of you, but when R2P's membership listing is in the 4 figures, he can't change the schedule just to fit a few, no matter how loud I scream and yell for late night races. ;)

Pete, Kent has an issue with his back, thats why he can't play golf.

And Pete again, please start a thread to see if there is any interest in trying to resurect the G2/G3 races, because to run them at the same time as the GT/nGT race can't be too much strain on Tim, and I'd really love to see them come back, as I was planning on racing either G2 or G3 full time next season.

I'd do it myself but I dont think I carry enough clout around here to pull it off.

I get what you're saying, Jerry. I've raced every Saturday early event going back to the release of the original GTR, championship and fun-run alike. No idea what that adds up to, but it must be well over 100 consecutive Saturdays!!! I'm just really pissed that this run will come to an end.
