Well I finally broke down and bought GTR 2 yesterday. I have been debating on buying it for a while but just never did. I finally decided to buy it because I can mainly only race on the weekend and it seems that most of the races on the weekends are for GTR 2. Not many rFactor races on the weekend. Plus it seems that the rFactor races are more open wheel races than anything else and I am just not that big into open wheel cars. Anyway, after playing around with GTR 2 for a while this morning I am glad I finally did buy it and wished I would have bought it sooner. I haven't spent much time with it but I do like what I have seen so far. Plus I really like the driving school part. It is very entertaining and looks like it could help me out a lot with this whole road course racing stuff. I am more geared toward circle track racing but am trying to learn road course racing. I am actually enjoying the experience so far. |
Oh man, you will love GTR2. If netcode would be as good as rFactor's, IMHO GTR2 would be PERFECT. | ||

I am having fun with GTR 2. Still getting used to it. It is a little different than rFactor. I am planning on signing up for some GTR 2 races next weekend. I am planning on playing around with some of the cars first and decide which ones I like. I will then make my decisions on what races to join. | ||
William, just as a friendly reminder, make sure you have the patch for GTR2. There are also a few guides here that will help you with online registration process in case you run into problems. | ||
Yeah I downloaded the patch before I even installed the game. I have went through the guides and I think I have everything squared away. | ||
Hey, I just had the same experience with rfactor. I delayed buying it because GTR2 is great and I figured some open wheel mods would eventually be released for GTR2. The team I am on here at R2P entered an endurance event running rfactor so I gave in and bought it. I wish I would have gotten it a year and a half agao that's for sure!! See you on track. |
