3 Months with R2P, what I have learned
01:44 PM on Apr 17, 2007

  • Sometimes I can be very fast

  • Sometimes I can be quite average

  • Sometimes I haven't a f*cking clue about what I am doing with the car (I
dont turn up for those races)

  • If someone punts you out of the race, petulantly pressing escape doesnt
    piss him off at all!!

  • Setting the alarm for 2am so you can do Elise fun runs pisses the wife
    off.

  • Fumbling around in the dark to get back in bed at 3.30am after the race
    really pisses the wife off.

  • Falling asleep at your desk the next day because you didnt get much
sleep that night really pisses the boss off.

  • When people at work ask you what you did last night and you tell them
that you did a 'sim race' it doesnt sound as impressive as you think.

  • When you explain to people at work about how exciting the 'sim race'
was, they smile, but they actually think your an asshole.

  • When you show your boss pictures from the 'sim race', he seems
interested, but he's probably assessing how easy it is to replace you.

  • Sneaking a new steering wheel into the house and telling the wife that
you have had it forever, doesnt always work.

  • Telling the wife that a set those ECCI pedals you brought home only cost
$200 (not $700 to the UK) does work!

  • Adding a clutch to those ECCI pedals and telling the wife that it always
    had 3 pedals doesnt work.

  • Telling the wife that the answer to all our problems is a 3 monitor
    setup doesnt wash.

  • Realising that I wont get away with telling her 'what?  I always
    had 3 monitors'
