Can someone tell me what the interior of an ALMS GT1 and GT2 car looks like? Links to pictures of the inside of these cars would be great! I haven't been able to find anything. I'm assuming that the GT1 cars are totally race prepared? Do the GT2 cars still have the stock dash? Thanks,

The GT1's are indeed full race prep - no more resemblance to a stocker than general silouette. For example, I remember looking at the Prodrive 550's at Petit Lemans during tech a few years back and wondering if there was anything in there that wasn't carbon fiber! The doors were about 1cm thick, if that... ;-) GT2's do carry some stock parts depending on the car; Porsches in particular have some familiar bits in there, but are pretty much gutted to bare metal and roll cage. Most I've seen had different dash panels or PI-type readouts, though the dash shape looked stock. ish... |
