I got to thinking about some of the differences and similarities in sports each side of the Atlantic -

You have Baseball, we have Rounders - played by a bunch of girls!
You have Basketball, we have Netball - played by a bunch of girls!
You have Gridiron, we have Rugby - played by real men without the make-up and padded bras!

There is one near match, though -

You have Soccer, we have Football - both played by a bunch of girls!!!

Sir Pete, shocked at your omission of the only real sport on the planet: ice hockey. Those of us in the hockey fraternity might give a wink to rugby but they dont skate, the field is way too big, the game too slow, and the lack of weapons. Rugby has only knees, elbows, heads and fists. We added sticks to the inventory plus a puck fired at 100 mph. Nothing personal, you understand. You know I love perfidious Albion.

We got hockey over here too but it's taken neat, no ice. Played a lot in girls' schools, I believe :)

You buncha pansies! You forgot to mention the most manly of sports. Complete with weapons and flying objects and no girlie protective equipment!
