Somewhere I have all 3 of the "final" Nascar races on tape but this is definetly the final one.

Jeez, man. Brings back memories. Crazy to see Neil Bonnett and Dale Earnhardt up in the field, knowing their eventual fate. :\

Funnily enough, I despised Sundays because it was race day for my dad. So the only TV was basically off-limits for the entire afternoon.

Ironic, eh? :)

Damn, was only one year old when they closed it down. Looked like a lot of fun. Raced the track in GPL and it was just a blast :(. Now its a god damn shopping mall and housing community. One of these days, I should go there and see if anything at all is left. Same with Ontario.

I hear they are building another Riverside track in Merced that has a similar layout. Unfortunately, it will probably be nothing like the original...

Damn. We have that on VHS tape somewhere. I wonder if they're still viewable. In fact, we have tons of races on tape from the 80-90's. Damn I'm getting old. ;-/

Yah, an amazing track indeed. Tis a shame. I'm not a particular fan of Infineon, the road course that replaced it on the schedule, as I don't particularly find it an exciting track. Nor is the California Speedway which replaced it as the LA area track.

LoL. I sure don't remember Kyle Petty looking like a total nerd. That's funny.
