ALMS Mosport Pics

Well, I've never written here since I first started with Race2Play, so I guess I'm overdue.

My friend Al and I, spent last weekend at Mosport for the American Lemans weekend. There was a time when by August we would have made four or five visits to Mosport, but not these days. This was the first race of a year for both Al and myself.

Fortunately, another friend was good enough to get us trackside passes, which gave us pretty much access to anywhere, including the pits. This was great, since we love to shoot photos around the track, and Mosport has changed in the last few years. What was once a place full of great spots to shoot from is quickly being surrounded by catch fences. This I'm sure is a result of insurance requirements, but also apparently to try and attract a Busch series race. Ah well, things change... Anyhow, with the trackside passes we were allowed pretty much the same access as a photo pass, so for this event we were ok shooting-wise.

Wow those are some nice pictures. I like seeing the GTR2 types cars like the Porsche, Ferrari, Dodge Viper, and Chevy Corvette. What kind of camera do you have? I wouldn't mind some 1440x900 pics for my desktop!

I use a Canon Rebel digital that I've had for a few years now. It's a bit long in the tooth but does well. I recently added a Sigma 20-200 zoom lens with optical stabilization.

Just let me know which pics you like, with your email and I'd be happy to send along a desktop shot.
