Well, as winter quickly approaches here in the the great white north, it's time again to put away the toys. November 6th is the day hte baby goes in the garage. Hopefully next spring it emerges with an improved setup for autocrossing & track days.

More details to follow.

It's an 86 Camaro Z28 with 310 RWHP, 6-spd T56, and a bunch of Spohn Performance suspension upgrades.

Damn...That's got to me running Mod class..LOL. I'm currently running in ESP for solo2, but I still have like 3-4 prep points to play with that I plan on taking advantage of over the winter. Our rules are a little different up here for solo2 compared to SCCA, but similar. Our SP class is allowed a little more mods than SCCA allows for their SP class.

Right now my camber is maxed out and I'm still at +0.5 deg....yes..positive camber. So I'm either going to get new aftermarket camber plates, or slot the stock ones to get at least -1.5 to -2. I'm also looking to unload some weight as it currently sits at 3270 lbs with the T-Tops off, but I have a decent weight distribution(for these cars anyhow) right now at 52/48. If I put a fiberglass hood and remove the rest of the A/C components, it'll put me close to 51/49 at around 3100 lbs.

It ran in C-Prepared, which is essentially completely gutted cars with built motors and custom suspensions. Mine only had about 400 hp and weighed a mandated 3050 lbs. with about 250 lbs. of weight in it. I still had 51% or more front end weight, but hadn't done aluminum heads. The "big dogs" in the class are running nearly 700 hp! Nonetheless, I was able to place 4th in 2001 in the Solo II championships and I won the Pro Solo championship that year.

$1000 for a set of tires (twice each year!) got too expensive, though, so I sold it a few years ago for something streetable. This one was obviously trailered. Oh yeah, and it started as a t-top car!! :)
