If its as good as it sounds it fits right in the next tier up from Logitech and right below the ECCI type of products..

that looks like a real good wheel!
That looks interesting. Did I read it correctly? 1 motor for the feedback and 2 for motor vibration? HuH? That should be the other way around me thinks. I'm a bit skeptical about wireless though. Lag sux. This sounds sexy -
Wheel looks great with Porsche symbol too! :-)
Does indeed look like a nice wheel... there needs to be a consumer FFB wheel above the G25 (the FREX kit is too expensive for most afterall). Maybe this will be Sam's next wheel :D
I'm afraid Porsche badge will cost a LOT!
It says $420. Which isnt too bad really
- Wheel turn of 900°, 360° or 180° If I'm reading this correctly there won't be much choice in degrees of rotation, which sucks badly.
It sounds interesting. I like the chair/wheel stand being used in the bottom photo, except I would have that screen 4 feet from my face for more immersion. Damn MS for not allowing anyone else to make wheels for the xbox 360. Forza 2 kinda has my eye but the ps3 may end up being the console for sim racers due to its hardware support.
I thought it interesting that the Fanatec website doesn't have any mention of it, anywhere, not a press release or anything.
Be forewarned. Fanatec is not the greatest manufacturer around. They have made wheels before that were junk. Just a another plastic toy maker IMO. I guarantee you are buying a Porsche badge and leather wheel and POS internals and pedals. I would bet $500 that the G25 is ALOT better than this thing (and I dont much care for Forcefeedback wheels).
By looking at the pictures, i agree with steve, it looks cheap, lacks buttons, and is way over priced. I personally don't gice a sh*t what brand is on it. If they dumped the Porsche thing and sold the wheel for 200 bucks or less, then i might care. |
