Hey CanAm Guys, How cool would it be to have an evening, dawn, or full-on midnight race in one of the next Fabcar enduros? Which tracks have proper lighting for this? Or even... How about 2hrs of Le Mans in the wee morning hours, introducing the sun-in-the-eyes factor for half an hour? Is this possible? What is the consensus?? |
rFactor has no sun ... literally. :) IMO, night racing (total darkness) is over rated. Doesn't really add much other than slow the entire field's pace down. Rain is a different situation. I will say that GTR2 is very pretty at sunset/sunrise though, and the glare from the sun is very cool. | ||
Everyone apparently has 5 year-old PCs that cannot handle racing at night. So... yeah. The consensus usually shoots the idea down. | ||

Not only all of that, but we can adjust our monitor's gamma settings, etc, to make the night racing just about as light as day racing. No way the server can control what we see on our monitor. Would make for a very unfair race. |
