The Black Hosers start their campaign, such as it is (their best player is still their coach), tonight. The Chicago Tribune actually gave the team and the NHL some pub. The columnist created a bunch of tongue in check categories, one of which is who will win the Missing Hanson Brother Trophy. The columnist's pick? None other than our favorite enforcer and the head of "Mustache Nation", George Parros. Somewhere Tiger Williams is saying finally one of my kind is finally getting some positive press. Thought you'd like to know. This part is not in the papers. A retired judge with whom I am very good friends is Savard's next door neighbor. As the Judge explains it, 'Bulin hasnt stopped a beach ball all camp long. Savard asked Nik what's the problem and Nik said he cant do anything unless he gets 9 hours of sleep. Look for Corey Crawford to get a call up before the season is over unless Nik pulls it together big time. Savard wanted to cut Nik. |
Where in the Hell has Jerry Chen been?
I was on vacation last week Bob.
The Stache's PIMs might even go up this yr, we lost his tag team partner, Shawn Thornton to free agency. That's not good to hear from Savard, one of my fantasy teams has Khabby (not by choice, stupid autodraft in that league). I thought you and Stib would be happy now that Mr moneybags is no longer with the living ... light at the end of the tunnel for the franchise perhaps? What about that kid Toews?
Now all we need is for the dumb ass rocko to place the home games on a real network and dump the comcast only crap!
What's the latest news: will Teemu Salami play or not? Does anybody even care... :P
Johan, Mr Salami was sitting in the stands on friday with his buddies watching the game. He seemed very fired up when his partner in crime last yr, Andy Mac scored the tieing goal, and won it in the shootout. Nothing would please me more than to see Teemu put on the #8 again. We've had a rotating door of AHL scrubs on McDonald's line. Poor guy went from having a hall of famer, to a couple of nobodies who were playing in portland 6 months ago. The consensus among most fans is that Teemu is getting up there in years, so he's not willing to put in the time to get himself in game shape unless he's sure the ducks have a chance to go deep in the playoffs. Which means he's waiting for Niedermeyer to make up his mind. Nieds is still in limbo, although last week he was seen skating with 2 former ducks at a local rink. (His kids still go to school in OC). The rumors are that, the long playoffs, combined with how the NHL screwed the Ducks with a short training camp and a flight to England  to start the season, Nieds wasn't interested in getting his ass into shape in such a quick turn around. Plus, people forget he had the ankle injury, and despite what he claims, it was still hurt all the way through the finals. So I think he wanted time off for his body to get better. If he comes back, the Ducks would have a scary blueline.

Thanks, Jerry, for the info. I've been under impression that he's just unable to make up his mind but now I know the reasoning behind it. Thanks. |
