Had a great run tonight ... Qualified third ahead of Tim and got a great jump off the line into Turn 1.
Had an unfortunate slip after coming out of what used to be the Bus Stop (I think it was there ... I'm not quite sure) right in front of Tim and slipped to 5th. Started chasing John Mueller down, but after two laps I had to pit. Pitted right behind Tim -- even though my pit box was farther down pit lane than his, he got out ahead of me, and I came out just behind Mueller.
Then I heard Tim say "I wrecked!" and John and I ran through his debris. Which would eventually ruin my great fight with John, as I developed a puncture and had to pit. Damn.
That was just too much fun. The rain that was predicted didn't come, which threw everyone's strategy right out the window. This is a great game. If you haven't driven it yet, you really should.
And.... a hearty welcome to Jr. Parks! Not bad for your first event here at Race2Play!

I disappeared David, just in the other direction.....
Was pleasantly surprised to qualify in fourth.... That all washed away with the rain. It took me a few laps to figure out how to drive a low-downforce car (I had the same problem Mr. Fisher had) in the rain without killing myself at every corner.
It was fun though. The rain system in this game is amazing. Just wish it would clear off the visor (or T-cam).

First of all, thanks to the WSCC team for putting on a great series. Looking forward to the E92 series next season.
Thanks also to my Team Kamikaze teammates for not only helping me to secure my first podium at R2P, but to help me secure third in the P2 championship. Big congrats to all the champions and team champions in all four classes.
Q: Had great times in practice, but just couldn't quite put it together for Qualifying. But good enough for 7th. I knew that it would be a long race and if I just held it together and kept the car underneath me I would get a good result.
R: And I did. 4th place from 7th isn't bad at all. If I had just put a few more laps of fuel in the car at my second stop, I could have done better. But it was not meant to be.
After 2 1/2 hours of racing and a team debrief in TS afterward, I went out for a much needed pint.
Thanks for a great season. Hope to see most of you in the BMWs next season.

Man, that was a long race ... But at the end of it all, I earned my first podium at R2P!
Q: Good enough for 5th ... I had nothing, as usual, for most of the group in front of me.
R: Fairly uneventful, which is a change for me. As soon as I saw that VanderLoon, Buitrago and Schlittenbauer dropped out ahead of me I knew I had third wrapped up. It was just a matter of keeping the car under me for the rest of the two hours. Which was not easy; I had a few lapses of concentration that thankfully didn't end my race. Plus there were a couple of spots where a P1 car turned me round while lapping me. Close to the end, Glenn Waldow spun in front of me and I speared him in the side. Sorry about that, Glenn. I had nowhere to go. Luckily, it was close to pit in so I jumped into the pit, got the repairs done and finished the race.
Congratulations to all the winners and podium finishers.
