Race report
Oschersleben Ameri Cup on Feb 06, 2008
Car: Radical SR4 252. Class: Radical. Start: 11. Finish: 14. Laps: 19.

Hey guys,
I was happy with my qual time based on what I had run in practice, actually improved my best by .6. Think I started 10th or so. My start wasn't the greatest, lost a couple of spots. Then not sure who spun or got spun in turn 2 on the first lap . Was kind of a mess and I tend to be too cautious as I don't want to hit anyone so I lost a couple more spots.
I know I am not the fastest guy out there but I must say in general I have been the victim of a lack of patience in some of the races I have run. I think I can hold my line fairly well and don't feel the bumper passes are necessary.
I never try to block and try to stay aware of where the driver behind me is and will let him pass at when the opportunity arises during the lap if I know he is faster.
It's not my fault if anyone spins out and gets behind a slower guy. It is that driver's responsibility to make a clean pass which I have to say haven't seen too much with some of the guys. Not losing sleep over this but I think everyone should try to be a little more careful, after all we are supposed to be doing this for fun unless you guys are getting paid and I don't know about it .LOL
Congrats to the guys who ran up front, well done. Really like that track and in spite of the few spin-outs was happy I didn't make any bad mistakes myself and kept the car between the lines. I always have fun in these races and am glad I joined the R2P group.
