well..yea, no, I didn't expect to blow my engine running with a radiator setting at 4 on 76C and my boost at 2 on 96C, so obviously am doing somin' wrong!! Nice race otherwise, managed to build a nice gap between myself and Finotti, it was then two laps to go and had an option to go safe or cut a thin line by either going to pits and refuel for 5 liters or go right thru, so.. yeah Had I gone to pits the race would have cooled a weebit more and finish this up in second.
Great fun event none the less. This track was exXtremely difficult to set the car since you could run the straight flat out at 350 but loose completely valuable timing around the reminder of the track corners and bends. The Gbox was a bitch to set.. you go a weebit too far like two settings up and you completely lost the grip for the bends, also the wings I found quite difficult to get the right spot setting and one set didn't necessary make the difference expected..

..well, I done a Kimi special on this one, my engine didn't take the pounding very well even though during practices all temps seemed Ok.

man..o'man.. indeed this was a weird one! When I first took this one to the track it was like skates on ice, then I got used to it and during my practice sessions I was confidently doing 1:10/11 on Mediums full tank. As the moment arises during Quali I hit T1 barriers which was quite unusual for me and from that moment on totally lost my confidence about the track.. specially on T1 & T5's road patch. I didn't even bother to go out with Mediums so lost lot of time going to pits. the Race!? yea didn't fall asleep on this, for sure, Marcos and Nigel kept me busy and only like 3\4 race I regained 80% confidence and on the last pit visit got awarded a stop/go, went to serve and the game ignored it, instead fill me up and changed me tires again. Went around to re-serve the penalty and got the last certificate for the race "DQ".. grats to the finishers and poles. well done Nigel
[edit] my shoulder ball joints took a beating last nite regrading race time discussion, imo I think the time is fine providing the track is fluid, and this one was definitely not, maybe Fahn is right on shortening the distance and increasing the difficulty level on fuel and tires might also work.

I was totally gutted to go connection lost once again, didn't even get a chance to pit for a new fresh set of tires. My plan was working by saving my engine life and ready to release the thrust that would take me all the way to the finish. disco game over flip in another coin.

..the dreaded Melbourne Track.. hek.. at a slip of a finger, at the skid of a banana peel, at the slight miss of concentration.. your up in the gutter. Nice race while at it, on full boost was able to keep Alvin on the distance at the cost of engine degradation so nothing fofree ..lots of planing went into this race and was glad to see that the whole plan was doing clock work until the hellin' was released and on the loose. .. . crash bangboo, the faster you go the proportional increase of fatality and risk!
