Had really good fun in this race. The cars are fun and lively to drive with light weight and relatively good power. As always the that Bathurst Circuit was fun challenging and exciting to drive. Everyone drove clean and fair especially the first turn and the first lap in general. Good job to everybody!
As always good to battle with you Fahn... and a good little fight at the end with Zeburnovik! Thanks to Cory for hosting!

Thanks to Matt for hosting the race yesterday. I thought the car and track combination turned out very well. Hadn't driven the 370 since the first build. Was surprised at how planted it felt compared to the Meganes. The outright grip might be very close but to me everything happened a little bit more slower and quite a bit easier catching the back end. I jelled with the car early on and spent more of the session before the race working on reference points and being smooth.
The race turned out good from a driving standpoint. I need to spend more time in preparation, so I know exactly what I'm going to be doing in the race. My pit stops themselves, and my concentration the few laps preceding and following the pit, as well as my procedure for adjusting my pit menu options while driving need to be improved. I so much enjoy all the variety and quality drivers here I am often entering races not very prepared. It's cool when it works out like yesterday but can be very frustrating to throw a good result away trying to mess with your pit selection or figure out what lap you should be pitting.
I really don't know what others are waiting for as well. Everyone has a lot of opinions about what needs to be fixed and how far rFactor2 is away from Gold. One thing is for sure the game itself has a lot of potential, they may still have many many small issues and things that can be implemented or changed but the game in its present state is certainly fun to play. It is certainly a big step from rFactor one.
Personally I would not mind for them to wait another 12 months before they officially release the game. Take the time and work out all the issues, gather input from the community, and make it good as they have it in their mind the first time, without yielding to any commercial or financial pressures. Now is definitely the time for people to take the plunge. $84 for a lifetime membership is the deal to get!
See you on the track!

Prerace:
After Monday night's CanAm event I was Jonesing for a bit more action. I love the Mosport Raceway... having competed there in some Canadian-American match races on a motorcycle. Turn 2 over the crest into the fast downhill left and the very fast right-hander after cresting the hill on the Andretti back straight are unique, exciting, and memorable.
I was surprised at how well the Audi stuck to the road. I didn't get many laps and basically drove the default setup for the qualifying which worked quite well.
Qualifying:
I think I ended up third or fourth. At one point I had a lap going that would've put me on the front row but ran into some traffic and had to settle. Starting to get a feel for the car and relatively confident for the race.
Race:
Race got off to a pretty exciting start. At the end of the first lap Paulo locked up the brakes in the last corner and went off, I moved up to P3 behind the Casanova's brothers. The next lap Elizeu FIlho came by me and started putting pressure on Sergio. He ended up spinning after an inside move attempt in turn three. I managed to sneak by but I think it caused a bit of trouble for the group behind especially Fahn, leaving a gap. I put my head down and attempt to hunt down the Casanova Brothers, as I crossed the stripe for the next lap, I had moved up into second as Sergio had pitted??, I imagine because he had low fuel from a qualifying setup.
The middle third of the race was pretty quiet with José doing a good job of holding me off upfront until he spun and came back on track just ahead of me. I managed to start putting some pressure on him. My second gear was too tall and Jose was getting a much better drive out of the Moss hairpin, so getting by with going to be difficult. I finally made a mistake pushing too hard into turn three, where I was trying to get a good run to make an move at Moss and ran off ending our battle.
Not sure what happened at the end, as I came out of the pit stops ahead of José. I was very surprised as I took a little extra fuel and was very conservative on my pit entry after getting a stop and go penalty and subsequent disqualification at the Lime Rock event last week. Only a few laps left, and with José a few seconds behind me, I set her on cruise control until the checkers.
Sorry to Paulo, Sergio, and Fahn as well who all had early misfortune and would've definitely made the race more challenging. Good job to José for a solid drive. Thanks to Juan for setting up the events. I really enjoyed driving the Audi it seems to be a good car to race.
Lots of good clean driving in this event... see everyone on track!
