Pretty intense and exciting race. Unfortunately when the incident happened between Vinicius, Mattias and myself and Mattias came out of that with his car damaged I had huge doubts about my positioning (at the exit of T8). Vin had a tire problem again like the first stint and was holding Mattias with his very good defensive driving, and I caught them up slowly about 6-7 laps after the pit stops and around lap 23 or so was right behind them. At that lap, turn 8, I carried a lot more speed I guess and right at the 4th apex both of their cars bogged down badly, to avoid the contact I cut the apex short but on the other side of it Mattias was still very tight and close to inside trying to pass Vin and he moved more towards me (or so I felt) and I ended up tapping him on left rear corner. What made it worst was he had to pit for damages and shortly after retired.
It looked like 50/50 racing incident but I felt pretty bad still, lost my concentration after that and I knew if I was to win the championship (I was only 3 points behind Mattias) it was not going to feel right. I thought I could file a complaint about the incident so Official would review it and I would accept the outcome. That decision made me feel a little easy and started battling with Brian and Vin again and at the end could not capitalise on their mistakes due to worn tires, Brian spun couple of times but I spun the same time with him. Like I said not enough concentration.
I'm glad Mattias won the championship he really deserved it.
Congratulations Mattias and Reinhard.
@Brian; You should check your brake pedal Brian, your brake lights were flickering all the time, I'm sure you had some brake drag the whole race.

After my wife's surgery Wednesday, I did not have much time to prepare for this race. Used the BOSS for the EURO series with Mosport setup mainly and like Michael said C2 and also C3 Corvettes were not reachable to fight for position.
For this race decided to go with C2 thinking Cobra was going to be too slow, what a mistake! Road America setup for some reason was not that stable here, two spins due to over ambitious cornering, one of which resulted in steering damage and also getting together with Joe right after the hairpin caused me getting stuck on top of the raised apex grass area, pretty much sums up my race, P9 and 2 laps down.
I'm surprised that I'm still leading the series but top 5 got a lot closer now, only 11 points seperates us. And at least one of the fast guys, Felipe, is now in tier 1. Welcome to C2 heaven Felipe or should I say hell :)
Nice job Team PASRL by the way, had to call in Troy last minute for damage control but still they opened up 4-point lead on us.
Brette will be back for the last two races and it should be an exciting finale.

Finally a track that BOSS could shine a little. I knew it was better than C3 and C2, well, except Ross' C2 of course.
Tire wear was better on the BOSS than on C2 Corvettes and I was banking on that and waiting towards the end of first stint (in P2) but Ross had an amazing steady pace all throughout till the stops.
Mistake free race and steady pace also for me from start to finish. I enjoyed the intensity of trying to catch up Ross 6 sec. in front of me and trying to keep the 10-15 sec gap to Joco pretty much the whole race. If Reinhard's Cobra didn't have that misfortune it could have been even more exciting run to the finish.
Maybe next time, at Mexico, which is just around the corner, can't wait :)

I thought I was going to do the dog fight with Jose and Bobby was going to check out in the faster GTC. And that's exactly what Bobby did, but to my surprise I was faster than Jose, maybe he was struggling with the track. I never liked Imola that much because I am always slow here, but after so many races and practice over time (and with the right setup) felt comfortable with my TVR. Soft/Soft tires in both stints and I was about 20 sec ahead of Jose after pit stops. Couldn't beleive my luck when Bobby fell back and behind Jose towards the end.
Then I realised the fuel numbers were too close, 15 min to go I started to make bunch of calculations and try to figure out how close it was going to be. 10 Min to go I found it was going to be very close depending on when I cross the S/F line, a full lap after time expired would put me 2-3 liters short. So I started to save fuel by coasting and short shifting and checking the gap to Jose's RS but surprisingly he was not closing the gap that much so I slowed even further to save some more. At the end crossed the line with 1 liter in the tank I beleive.
Small field but the race was not short of exitement.
