Big big apology to Ray for the contact entering T2 on lap 1. Totally my fault. I was positioned poorly so you probably couldn't see me and I had no business putting my nose in there at that point. I waited for a while hoping you would rejoin. Sorry if I ruined your night. Sounds like it capped off a perfect evening with the long drive home.
I hope to do better next race.

I tried hard not to pressure you as you were in a good finishing position and a lap or so ahead. At least you didn't lose a spot near the end.

It made a fairly dull track pretty exciting. I suspect we touched lightly a few times, but I couldn't tell any difference with the car but when I went to pit I didn't look at the HUD so I was surprised when I had to wait for damage repair. Lost about 5 or 6 spots, but still a fun night.

When I drove past that spot on the track I thought the same thing, that's were Sarti was killed. Of course the young guys won't have a clue what we are talking about.

Good race consistent and mistake wise, just too far off the pace. Daytona is such a simple track and getting off the entry to the back straight is critical, but everyone just pulled away or blew by on the straight. I didn't think I was that slow exiting the corner, so maybe my gearing needs work.
I did have a good race with Benny for much of the early going but that was mainly do to being able to stay in his draft. Once we got separated due to lapping traffic he gradually pulled away. Not sure how I finished ahead at the end but I only took enough fuel to finish and no repairs or tires so maybe it was the pit stop.

I forgot to pull to the side of the stall, fortunately no one was in or waiting. I will post a written reminder to self for next race. How far to the left or right of the stall can you be and still have the game recognize that your in the stall? Has anyone tested this?
